Mandarin Duck Posing
Just happened to look out of my studio door and saw this magnificent specimen of a Mandarin Duck posing on the jetty in the low early evening sunlight.
The Mandarin is not indigenous to Britain, but numerous escapes have bred successfully in the wild and is now regarded by many as part of our natural fauna. Unusually for a duck, they actually nest in trees!
