Both Sides Now...
“I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now…”
Driving home through the golden hour last night I was confronted with this amazing scene of regular and inverted clouds over the Duddon Valley and the Western Lake District fells and it reminded me of the line in Joni Mitchell’s song.
This image also shows very clearly the geology of the Lake District: absolutely flat fertile valleys with steep sided fells on either side (and some fun and interesting driving / walking in between - with stunning views of a completely different valley over every ridge!)
