Ian will meet you at a designated location depending on the route taken and scheduled timings (but be aware exact times are not usually available until a few days prior to the event). He will share some tips and tricks of choosing the right spot and help you with camera settings and techniques to use to get the best pictures of these magnificent locomotives.

Locations are usually either Shap Bank - as the trains are under full steam climbing to the summit of the West Coast line, or the famous Ribblehead Viaduct or somewhere along the Cumbrian Coast line.
